Jacky's work is one of my favorites. It creates special atmosphere in the room. Every day I spend some time in front of it contemplating the wonders of nature.

Katya Alexeeva’s painting captioned “Daisy with Chocolate” seems to glow with its own radiance in this airy room filled with natural light, bringing a splash of color and lovely focal point centered above this table in my dining room. The soft radiance of this painting is what attracted me to it, and the subject happens to be two of my favorite things—chocolate and daisies!

This painting by Katya Alexeeva brings serenity of nature to this little hallway, providing focal point and dimension to an otherwise empty passageway. Thanks to this painting, the eye is now not blunted by blank wall, but invited, as through a window, to bask in final days of summer’s warmth along lakeshore, reminding me of wonderful days from childhood. One of the things I love about this painting is how Katia skillfully used color to precisely portray the season. As soon as I saw this painting, I knew it was not spring, not summer, not simply autumn, but those final days of warmth just before the chilly days move in to stay.

This oil painting by Katya Alexeeva is just the pop of color my office needed! I attended Katya's solo show, "The Magic of Water," this summer at Viridian Moon Art Gallery, where I was met with enthusiastic artists. I enjoyed talking to them about their work and touring the spacious galleries featuring different mediums. I highly recommend stopping by to view the work of great local artists and even taking home a piece!

A few weeks ago I purchased Irina's beautiful nocturnal study of our home called "Cozy Cabin". I was drawn to the piece because of the personal connection of course, but also the warm interpretation Irina created. Her work is exquisite. I also enjoyed taking a tour of the gallery and could have easily purchased a dozen more pieces from many of the fine artists represented at Viridian Moon. I highly recommend stopping by and browsing this lovely, inviting space.

"Recently, I had a chance to buy from Bloomington gallery Veridian Moon a watercolor ' Lobster Boat, Maine' by a local artist Jacki Frey. The quality of art, beautiful colors, the atmosphere of a small fishing cove attracted me in the first place. But also it reminded me of many places I saw while sailing on a boat in Chesapeake Bay where my husband and I spent many summer vacations. Lobster Boat brings us happy memories.
